Research, Reporting and Communications

Angela specialises in research, communications and reporting. She is extremely skilled in capturing information for detailed reporting and has a passion for utilising different story- telling techniques to engage hard to reach communities. Using her skills in research, content creation, case study development and publications to engage our communities and their stakeholders.

In her current role as Editor of the Melrose Park Community Newsletter, Angela uses her skills in research and journalism to actively engage the community. She diligently curates and delivers relevant, informative, and captivating content to foster a sense of unity and shared interest among community members. Angela's ability to present complex information in an accessible and engaging manner helps to create a strong bond within the community, making her an integral part of the Melrose Park communication team.

Angela is a fifth-year Arts/Laws student, majoring in Journalism and Non-fiction writing, at Macquarie University. In 2022, Angela worked as a Research Assistant, assisting Dr Meena Chavan with her research on Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs (IWE). Angela was responsible for the systematic literature review and developing case studies into the different businesses and enterprises Aboriginal and/or First Nations women had established.

Angela was the Editor-In-Chief for UN Youth NSW, where she oversaw a team of editors to develop the theme, manage submissions, edit contributions and design the publication. She liaised professionally and consistently with different stakeholders to capture the unique voices of young students and volunteers around Australia. Angela was also previously the Editor for the Macquarie University Law Society.

She is a great support to the community engagement team and ensures that all facilitation and participation opportunities BROOKS develops have effective communications to inform stakeholders and engage the community.
